I could not put this book down! A true account of what TBI survivors, their family and friends deal with afterwards. Dawn’s frankness about their deficits and how they overcame them as a family is an inspiration. Dawn’s account of what happened that day, and all the days that followed, the good, the bad and the ugly, gives an accurate representation of what TBI patients deal with on a daily basis. I am so proud of her, veronica, greg and kylie reliving this and sharing this book to give us insight in the world of traumatic brain injury!

An amazing story of tragedy, trials, triumphs, survival, and learning to live life to the fullest with what God has set in front of you! Dawn, Veronica, Greg and Kylie are truly a remarkable family! I highly recommend this book!! Amazing, well written, so intriguing that I couldn’t put it down!! Completed in two days! My sister had a brain tumor and required surgery. Her personality changed and she still does things that she never did pre-tumor! I didn’t understand the changes until I read Dawn’s book! Thank you Dawn and family for sharing your tragic but inspiring story with us! It truly helped me understand the changes in my sister!

First – absolutely amazing. I was thoroughly invested from the first sentence. Second – I appreciate the honesty and realness through the entire story. So many people did not realize what really happened & I was one of them. Honestly, I’ll never understand completely. No one will, but I am so appreciative of you telling your story. Lastly, I loved reading about the relationships within this family. You all are so lucky to have each other. I’m extremely grateful that I got a glimpse into your world through this book & I will recommend it to everyone forever.

Dawn, This book was AMAZING! IT was like reading my own story! I was hit by an 18 wheeler on the way to my chemo treatment, from multiple diseases. My Mom was with me& we we’re just down the road from my parents house. my dad came up on the accident. I was injured the worst with BIL Frontal Lobe Subrachnoid Hemorrhages + 8 additional brain bleeds, an open frontal lobe skull fx, A R orbital blowout, fx nose, & ruptured all my facial sinuses. My mom had fx’d clavicle &some head lacerations. I learned so much from reading this book about the affects of my injury &how it has affected me! Thank you for that!!

A Miracle a Day, One Day at a Time, by Dawn Corbelli, is less a memoir and more a beautiful story about love, courage and acceptance.

The author’s writing is compelling and pulls the reader into the scenes as she chronicles her and her teenage daughter, Veronica’s, horrific accident resulting in traumatic brain injuries for both of them. The story focuses mainly on Veronica, the severity of her TBI and the arduous rehabilitation that ensued. During the over 3-months Veronica spent in the hospital, mom, Dawn, never missed a visit while healing from her own TBI and broken bones.

Writing about the deep struggles they both went through, and still today, to a lesser extent, Dawn could only be thankful to have her daughter alive in whatever form that may be. As doctors told them to prepare for the worst, they believed in the highest outcome, and against popular opinion, Veronica walked out of the hospital.

The family’s love, faith, and perseverance are unmatched and inspiring to anybody struggling. The way the Corbelli’s handled this tragedy is admirable and has left me wanting to be better. I highly recommend this book.

There isn’t anything to dislike about this book. It is written purely from the soul of Dawn Corbelli. Imagine reading a diary, about someone’s life experience. This book is authentic, transparent, heart wrenching, exciting, and there are many other emotions that will be felt while reading this book.

Thank you Corbelli family, for allowing us to read the struggles you have faced and how much you have overcome. Greg, you are the definition of a wonderful man/father (you set the standard high). Kylie, you are and have always been an amazing human being. Veronica & Dawn, even through everything you have been through you’ve both persevered. Constantly trying to figure out how to adjust to the new life and working together to try to make it easier on eachother.

This book represents what a family & friend community support looks like. This book shows, that there is good in this world and that we should open our hearts to God.
